This statistic presents the financial and non-financial support extended to family members (elderly parents or adult children) in Germany as of 2014. In that time, approximately 48 percent of the sample helped their adult children financially, but only 18 percent of respondents financially supported their elderly parents. Help with errands however run the other way, with 68 percent of children providing support with housework or home repairs to their elderly parents, and 44 percent of parents to their adult children.
