Spending of outbound tourists from Malta 2010-2022
The expenditure of outbound tourists from Malta increased significantly in 2022 over the previous year, after dropping sharply with the onset of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Despite the significant annual increase, the outbound travel spending from Malta remained below pre-pandemic levels, amounting to around 518 million euros in 2022.
