by James Cherowbrier, last edited Jun 11, 2018
Saving for retirement according to British adults as of 2018 This statistic illustrates the approaches to retirement saving in the United Kingdom (UK) as of 2018. It can be seen that a total of 45 percent of the respondents claimed that they were always making sure to be generating retirement income at that time. A further 21 percent said that they were saving for their retirement, but not on regular basis. The share of people not saving for retirement, both those that have saved in the past and those that intend to start saving for retirement, stood at a total of 29 percent (13 percent and 16 percent) of respondents as of 2018, meaning that only five percent of people stated that they have not saved for retirement and do not intend to start.
