Currently, there are some 29,000 people aged 65 years and older in Hawaii with Alzheimer's. According to a forecast, this number is expected to increase to 35,000 by 2025. Scientists believe that early detection of Alzheimer's can be the best way to prevent or slow the course of the disease.
