This data illustrates the number of mobile phone connections in the network operated by Telefonica in Germany from 2002 to 2021. The figures refer to the number of active SIM cards in circulation and include prepaid as well as postpaid contracts and SIM cards used for automated communication between machines (M2M). As of 2021, there were roughly 45.69 million mobile connections in Telefonica's mobile network.
