Annual volume of biodiesel consumed in the transport sector in the United Kingdom fluctuated over the years. Between 2005 and 2018, figures increased by 874 kilotons of oil equivalent and peaked at 900 kilotons of oil equivalent in 2018. At that year, the European Union biodiesel consumption in the transport sector amounted to roughly 12.8 million tons of oil equivalent.
