Readiness for retirement index in Brazil

In a study about retirement conditions around the world, it was found that the readiness for retirement among Brazilians has worsened in 2019, compared to the previous year. The retirement readiness index for Brazil amounted to 6.5 in 2019, down from 6.6 a year earlier. The retirement readiness index uses a scale with scores that range from 0 (the lowest) to 10 (the highest level of preparation for retirement).

The Aegon Retirement Readiness Index measures retirement readiness on a scale of 0 to 10. Scores of 8 or higher are considered to be high retirement readiness. Scores of 6 to 7.9 are considered as medium retirement readiness, and scores of less than 6 are considered as low.
* The findings in this report are based on the responses of 14,400 employees and 1,600 retired people in 15 countries: Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hungary, India, Japan, the Netherlands, Poland, Spain, Turkey, the United Kingdom and the United States.
