UK: short distance train usage frequency, by bus distance to train in 2015

This bar chart shows how frequently survey respondents in the United Kingdom had travelled by short-distance train within the last 12 months, according to how long it takes them to travel to the nearest railway station by bus. In 2015, there were 17 percent of respondents who had used a short distance train more than once a week in the previous year who lived at a distance from the nearest railway station where it would take five minutes or less to travel there by bus.

** Of total 1,034 respondents, split into distance to nearest railway station by bus:
5 minutes or less with 132 respondents;
6-10 minutes with 152;
11-20 minutes with 203;
21-30 minutes with 150;
more than 30 minutes with 160;
and 143 respondents who had no access to bus services to train stations.
