This statistic displays the Combined Heat and Power (CHP) fuel use of the chemicals sector in the United Kingdom (UK) from 2010 to 2018, by fuel type, in gigawatt hours. It shows that the CHP use of gas oil decreased significantly after 2010 and totaled only two gigawatt hours in 2018. The use of natural gas decreased as well over this period, from 27,230 gigawatt hours in 2010 to 16,311 gigawatt hours in 2018, but remained by far the most used fuel type by the chemicals sector.
