Biofuels consumption for transport in the United Kingdom (UK) 2015-2019
Biofuels consumption for transport in the United Kingdom has continuously rose to its peak, at 1.8 million metric tons of oil equivalent in 2019. Between 2015 and 2019, figures increased by some 875 kilotons of oil equivalent. Biodiesel consumption tended to be higher than bioethanol, and also presented a higher growth. In 2019, the UK consumed roughly 1.35 million metric tons of oil equivalent worth of biodiesel and 444.8 kilotons of oil equivalent worth of bioethanol.
