This statistic shows the annual expenditure on trips taken for holiday, leisure or recreation purposes by residents of Portugal from 2012 to 2018. The data is split by outbound and domestic trips. Residents in Portugal spent a total of around 1.2 billion euros on domestic holiday trips and 684 million euros on outbound holiday trips in 2018. Overall spending on outbound travel and domestic holiday travel presented an increase.
