Holiday visits abroad from the UK 2021

The number of holiday visits abroad from the United Kingdom dropped sharply in 2021 compared to 2019 due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. In 2021, outbound visits for vacation purposes totaled around 8.9 million, decreasing from roughly 58.7 million in 2019. Overall, Spain, Greece, and Portugal were the most visited holiday destinations by UK travelers in 2021.
