Drugs and pharmaceuticals export value from India FY 2011-2019

In fiscal year 2019, India exported drugs and pharmaceuticals worth over 1.3 trillion Indian rupees. This was a marginal increase compared to the previous fiscal year's export value of a little over one trillion rupees.
Rising demand for low cost generic medicines- of which India has been the largest global provider, was one of the reasons for this spike in drug and pharmaceutical exports from India.
