This graph shows racist incidents recorded by the police per year in England and Wales from April 2009 to March 2019. Figures dropped in 2011/12 and 2012/13 as they remained approximately constant at 47-48 thousand for the three years. 2018/19 featured a sharp increase, with over 75 thousand recorded cases of racist incidents.
