India's iron and steel import value 2010-2019

Approximately 880 billion Indian rupees worth of iron and steel was imported into India in fiscal year 2019. This value made up nearly 2.5 percent of all imports into the country, making he contribution of base metals over six percent. The base metals sector saw an increase of 28 percent in imports that year compared to the previous year.
