In 2018, approximately 26 million long haul holidays (four or more nights) were spent abroad by tourists from the Netherlands. This is an increase of roughly 730,000 holidays compared to the previous year. The most popular outbound destination was Spain with nearly 2.4 million long haul holidays, whereas roughly 2.3 million holidays of four nights or more were spent in France.
