Life insurance premiums written in India FY 2017-2021

In financial year 2021, the Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) of India had written premiums that amounted to about 4,032 billion Indian rupees. On the other hand, private sector insurers earned premiums to the value of over 2,254 billion rupees. Written premiums are the amount of premium charged for policies that are already in effect.
