This statistic presents the results of a survey among households across west Indian states about the distribution of low birth weight among newborns in 2013-14. In this region, Goa had the lowest share of low birth weight among newborns with 16.7 percent. The state of Rajasthan had the highest share of newborns with low birth weight during the survey period.
