Reasons for taking the train in the Italian region of Lombardy 2016-2017
This statistic illustrates the results of a survey on the reasons for travelling by train in the region of Lombardy in Italy in 2016 and 2017. For most of the interviewed customers, study and work represented the main reasons. In both years, roughly 28 percent of respondents declared to travel by train because of studying or work purposes. Some six percent of the surveyed people took the train to go shopping.
