Share of outbound holiday trips taken by Italians 2022, by purpose
In 2022, most Italian travelers took holidays abroad for pleasure and relaxation reasons. That year, trips made for such purposes accounted for roughly 71 percent of all Italians' outbound vacations. Meanwhile, holidays abroad made for experiencing the local nature and landscapes represented around 11 percent of all journeys.
