Italy: share of domestic trips by accommodation 2019

In 2019, the hotel was the most popular accommodation for domestic trips taken by Italian travelers. Roughly 34.5 percent of all domestic trips included a stay in this accommodation. Moreover, many Italians who travelled domestically stayed at home of relatives or friends. Travels including this accommodation accounted for 33 percent of all domestic trips in 2019.
