Number of Muslim marriages in Indonesia 2012-2021
In 2021, there were around 1.74 million Muslim marriages in Indonesia. Since the end of 2019, Indonesia's minimum age for marriage has changed from 16 years old for women to 19 years old for both women and men. However, for Muslim marriages, parents could apply for special permission from the Indonesian Islamic courts to marry off their underaged children.
