Panama Canal: net tonnage 2021

The net tonnage transported through the Panama Canal amounted to nearly 516.5 million PC/UMS tons in fiscal year 2021, an increase of almost nine percent in comparison to the previous year. This figure has been annually increasing since 2016. In contrast, the number of transits through the Canal register a slight decrease that year, when compared to FY 2020.
