In 2018, Uruguay had the highest number of fixed broadband subscriptions per 100 inhabitants among Latin American countries. As of that time, there were approximately 28.34 fixed broadband subscriptions registered for every 100 Uruguayan. Nicaragua, on the other hand, had the lowest rate in the region with only 2.98 fixed broadband subscription per 100 inhabitants.
