New property and casualty insurance business in Germany 2017-2022, by channel
In 2022, the largest share of new property, accident, and liability insurance business in Germany came through the distribution channel of single-tied or insurance group intermediaries. This was the most popular distribution channel at the time, with a total of 42.6 percent of new business coming through the channel. A share of only about three percent of new property and casualty insurance business was attributable to direct selling that year.
