Plastic waste exports from Spain 2010-2021
In 2021, the value of plastic waste exported from Spain amounted to approximately 58 million U.S. dollars, an increase of over 58 percent in comparison to the previous year, and a decrease of 46 percent compared to 2017. In the latter year, China issued a ban on the import of foreign plastic waste, which led to a reduction in global plastic waste exports.
