Plastic packaging waste generation in Spain 2012-2020
Plastic packaging waste generation in Spain increased from approximately 1.3 million metric tons in 2012 to over 1.7 million metric tons in 2020. In the latter year, the recycling rate for plastic packaging in the country – including household, commercial, and industrial packaging – stood at 41.3 percent.
