Deaths due to malignant skin melanomas in Spain 2005-2021
In 2021, the number of deaths due to melanomas of the skin amounted to 1,056 cases in Spain, down from the 1,079 deaths reported a year prior. Deaths due to malignant skin melanomas increased by almost 26 percent compared to 2005, when the number of casualties from this cancer type totaled 840 cases in the European country. Worldwide, it is estimated that cancer deaths will reach over 12.9 million by 2030.
