In 2022, the number of deaths from acute myocardial infarction in Spain amounted to around 13,600 cases, one of the lowest values recorded since 2005. Deaths from acute myocardial infarction, also known as heart attack, were more prevalent among men than women throughout the analyzed period. As of the last year depicted, approximately 5,200 women and 8,400 men died from this heart condition in the European country.
