Leukemia deaths in Spain 2006-2022
In 2022, the number of deaths due to leukemia in Spain amounted to 3,344, up from 3,260 deaths reported a year earlier. Figures remained relatively constant throughout the years analyzed. The highest number of deaths due to this cancer type occurred in 2015, when nearly 3,600 people died from leukemia. Leukemia is the most common type of cancer among children. As of 2021, Spain registered close to 57,000 cases of leukemia, an increase compared to the figures reported in previous years.
