Italy: foreign tourists purchasing food products 2016
This statistic illustrates the share of foreign tourists who purchased food products in Italy in 2016, broken down by nationality. According to the study, Russian tourists were the ones that appreciated Italian food the most, with 87 percent of them buying Italian food products while visiting the country. By contrast, only about one in two English tourists (48 percent) bought Italian foods while in Italy.
