France: Plug-in hybrid electric vehicle fleet by fuel type 2011-2022
Some 299,300 plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs) were among the total private car fleet in France as of January 1st, 2022. Most of these were petrol PHEVs, which amounted to nearly 288,100 cars. The total PHEV stock had increased by around 89.8 percent between 2021 and 2022, partly as the French government offered financial incentives for consumers purchasing PHEVs.
