Europe: share of EVs in the passenger car fleet by country 2021
Across Europe, electric vehicles including battery electric, plug-in hybrid, and hybrid electric cars, still only constituted a small share of the overall passenger car fleet in 2021. Norway is a notable exception, with more than a quarter of cars being electric vehicles. Other countries with significant numbers of electric cars include Iceland, the Netherlands, and Denmark.
