Chile: leading molybdenum mines 2019

In 2019, the Codelco-owned mines of Chuquicamata and Radomiro Tomic produced nearly 12 thousand metric tons of molybdenum, while the company's El Teniente mine had an output of 7.5 thousand tons. Los Pelambres, owned by Antofagasta Minerals, ranked second that year, with a production of 11.2 thousand tons of the metal. In 2019, Chile's molybdenum production totaled 56 thousand metric tons.
