JYSK Group is a Danish furniture and furniture accessories retail chain. The company consists of the three entities JSYK Nordic, Dänisches Bettenlager, and JYSK Franchise. In 2020, the retailer was among the leading furniture retailers in Europe, measured by revenue. In the financial year starting on September 1, 2020 and ending on August 31, 2021, the company’s revenue peaked at roughly 35.6 billion Danish kroner. 

Denmark’s furniture market 

   In 2020, the Danish spent on average 3,920 Danish kroner on furniture. As of the second quarter of the subsequent year, retail sales of furniture reached almost 3.8 billion Danish kroner. Retail sales of the furniture and lighting equipment industry in the country were forecast to reach over 3.4 billion U.S. dollars by 2025.

Export trade

   Denmark is a leading country in the furniture design industry. Danish design is internationally known for its clean, minimalist, and timeless style. Its furniture export trade reached a value of just under 17.4 billion Danish kroner in 2020. A year before that, the country was among the leading exporters of furniture, mattresses, and similar stuff furnishing in the European Union.
