Forecasts revised for the impact of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic expect a short-term slowdown in the adoption of 5G in North America. However, from 2023 onwards the new expectation is that the 5G take-up will surpass the previous forecast , with an expectation of 13 million more connections in 2025 compared to the pre-Covid-19 projection.
