Production of motor vehicles in Brazil by fuel type 2020

In 2020, the automotive industry in Brazil (including assembled and unassembled units) produced approximately 1.53 million motor vehicles that worked on flexible-fuel. The production of motor vehicles of all fuel types decreased in comparison to the previous year. Units powered by gasoline were the most affected, at a 34 percent reduction on production compared to the earlier year. Meanwhile, 85 percent of new light vehicles registered in Brazil that year were flexible-fuel.
