Installed electricity generation capacity by the private sector in India 2007-2021
During financial year 2021, India's installed electricity generation capacity by the private sector amounted to around 180.8 gigawatts. The South Asian country is the third largest producer as well as consumer of electricity in the world, with a national electric grid of approximately 382 gigawatts of installed generation capacity.
