This statistic shows the average age of passenger cars in Belgium and its three regions Flanders, Wallonia and the Brussels Capital Region from 2003 to 2018. In 2018, the average age of the car fleet in the country of Belgium was nine years. This is an increase when compared to the previous years and the highest age reached since 2003. Of the three Belgian regions, Flanders was below this average with an age of 8.7 years. As of 2018, the number of passenger cars on the road in Belgium reached a total of approximately 5.8 million.
