Total assets refer to any items with economic value, which a company owns, trades and manages in order to generate profit. As of 2018, the total assets of French insurance corporations were the highest of any country listed, with almost 3.1 trillion U.S. dollars as of 2018. The United Kingdom (UK) and Germany finished off the top three countries in Europe for total insurance corporation assets in 2018 with approximately 2.46 and 2.3 trillion U.S dollars respectively. Only Russia registered growth in total assets between 2017 and 2018.
