This statistic displays the comparison of domestic and foreign-trained nurses as a percentage of the total number of nurses in selected European countries in the year 2016 (or the closest year with available data in some of the countries). Switzerland had the highest proportion of foreign-trained nurses within its workforce as only 18.7 percent of nurses that work there had been trained within the country. In the Netherlands on the other hand 99.9 percent of nurses had been domestically trained.
