Per capita private healthcare spending in Italy 2019, by health status
In 2019, non-self-sufficient individuals were the ones spending the most on private healthcare in Italy. People whose health conditions required caretakers, indeed, spent on average roughly two thousand euros on healthcare each. However, individuals that spent the most on supplementary healthcare insurance were acutely ill ones, with almost 325 euros per capita over the period under consideration.
