Private healthcare spending covered by supplementary medical insurance in Italy 2019
As of 2019, North East was the Italian macro-region where the highest share of private healthcare expenditure was covered by supplementary medical insurance, with 50 percent. By contrast, in the South and the Islands, only 10 percent of such expenses were covered by supplementary medical insurance.
