The OECD categorizes 'Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) stocks as a measure of the total level of direct investment at a given point in time, usually the end of a quarter or of a year. The inward FDI stock is the value of foreign investors' equity in and net loans to enterprises resident in the reporting economy. The value of FDI inward stock in Iceland increased during this period from 7.37 billion U.S dollars in 2013 to approximately 10.1 billion U.S dollars in 2017.
