This data shows the monthly share of punctual trains of the Deutsche Bahn in passenger transport from October 2022 to October 2023. In October 2023, around 87 percent of trains arrived punctually with a delay of no more than 5.59 minutes.

A stop is considered punctual when the planned arrival time has been extended by less than 6 or 16 minutes. The punctuality statistics include more than 800,000 trips of Deutsche Bahn passenger trains. For each of the more than 20,000 monthly train rides in the long-distance travels every stop is taken into account. The data depicting the punctuality of the roughly 780,000 monthly train rides – incl. the S-Bahn – are based on the evaluation of a representative choice of several hundred measuring points at important intersections. For the most part these were agreed on with the operating organization for the transportation day respectively.
