Ireland: Energy source preference 2017-2018

This statistic shows what energy source adults in Ireland would prefer to power their homes with in 2017 and 2018, according to a survey conducted by the Irish Wind Energy Association (IWEA). In 2018, 80 percent of respondents claimed they would prefer to power their home with renewable energy. This was an increase of 10 percent when compared to 2017. Only five percent of respondents would want to power their homes with fossil fuels.
