This statistic shows the share of people that was diagnosed with depression by a doctor in Sweden in 2018, by age group and by gender. Women had a higher share than the men for all age groups. The age group with the highest share for men was 30 to 44 years, with a depression share of 4 percent. Among women, the highest depression share, 7 percent, was in the age group of 16 to 29 years.
