In a survey conducted in 2020, regarding the mental and physical wellbeing of respondents during the coronavirus outbreak, 85 percent of female respondents in Thailand stated that the coronavirus outbreak had affected their mental health. This was slightly higher than the male respondents in Thailand, in which 79 percent stated the coronavirus outbreak had affected their mental health.
