Pulmonologists registered in Brazil 2013-2022
In 2022, the number of licensed pulmonologists in Brazil amounted to approximately four thousand doctors, up from around 3.66 thousand specialists reported two years earlier. This figure showed an uptrend since 2013, when the number of physicians specializing in pulmonology, a medical field focused on respiratory tract diseases, reached around 2.59 thousand professionals. That same year, Brazil had more than 584 thousand doctors, mostly specialists.
