Publisher revenue from bookstore sales in Canada 2016-2020, by type

In 2020, the revenue Canadian book publishers generated from sales to independent bookstores amounted to 170.5 million Canadian dollars, down from 231.4 million two years previously. The revenue from major chain stores also fell, dropping from over 155 million CAD in 2018 to just 133.5 million in 2020.
